NORTH RIVER ROOTS
GRANTS PROGRAM

The North River Roots Community Grants benefit communities in this grant boundary area.
We are proud to work with Metro to offer the North River Roots Community Grants beginning in Spring 2025. This program is part of Metro’s regional program to enhance communities surrounding the region’s nine waste transfer facilities. Funding for the grants comes from fees collected at the transfer facility stations.
Grant Timeline
The North River Roots Grants are offered every two years. The current active grant cycle runs from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
The next round of grant applications will open in Spring 2027, with funded projects running from July 1, 2027 to June 30, 2028.
